Languages used: Unreal Engine Blueprints.

Role: Implemented core gameplay mechanics (parasite movement and body switching) and logic that governs the overarching game mode.

Project Accolades: Winner of the peoples choice award at the Glasgow IGDA play party.

The Thingy is a Two player head-to-head competitive game in which player one controls the guard and is tasked with hunting down and eliminating player two; An intelligent parasite which transmits itself from host to host in an attempt to escape the research lab.
​
It was made as part of the Gobal Game Jam in 2018 and was made by me and 6 others, many of whom I have have worked on past projects with. The experience was fun and the game turned out better than expected, even winning a community choice award at a IGDA host game jam play party.
